LAS (Luciferase Assay) HTS Kit is suitable when a luminometer without dispensers is available and you want to perform an HTS assay. The kit is based on that the firefly luciferase luc gene is one of the most commonly used reporter genes and allows the monitoring of promoter activity in the control of gene expression.
For enzymatic monitoring
Any enzyme or metabolite participating in an ATP forming or degrading reaction can be monitored using ATP technology. Adding ATP Reagent SL to a sample makes it possible to continuously monitor the ATP level by measuring the intensity of the emitted light .
Tris-EDTA Buffer 0,1 M has the best pH for luciferase, pH 7.75. It contains 0,1 mol/L Tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane and 2 mmol/L EDTA.

For cell proliferation & cytotoxicity
The amount of ATP reflects the intracellular volume as its central role in metabolism makes it necessary for all cells to maintain a constant intracellular concentration. The amount of ATP is similar in all cells, about 1 attomole for bacterial cells and one femtomole for mammalian cells. If one measures the amount of ATP per sample can, one can calculate the number of cells per mL.
Luciferin is a substrate for luciferase together with ATP. Substrate is used with 51-101 ATP Substrate and is intended for in vitro studies of firefly luciferase. The reagent contains D-Luciferin and luciferase- activators and stabilisers to obtain a stable light (less than 2% decay per minute). 61-101 ATP Substrate should be reconstituted in 10 mL Tris-EDTA buffer.

188-441 Cell Viability Kit SL is intended for use with mammalian cell samples with high cell density or with cell samples with higher density of ATPases, e.g. nerve cells. The kit contains a stronger ATPase inhibitor than 155-050 Cellular ATP Kit HTS and produces stable light.
ATP Biomass Kit HS is intended for determination of the total ( both extracellular and intracellular) amount of ATP in a sample. The ATP Biomass Kit is suitable for virtually all types of samples.
Intracellular ATP Kit HS is intended for determination of intracellular ATP in bacterial cells. The Intracellular ATP Kit is suitable if you for example want to determine ATP in a pure bacterial culture free of mammalian cells and extracellular ATP.
