The QUANTOM Tx™ microbial cell counter uses sophisticated image analysis to detect and count bacterial cells in minutes. Traditional counting methods for bacterial cells are compromised or challenging. Colony counts only give an estimation of viable cells, not helpful when your cells cannot be cultured. A colony could arise from a single or a thousand cells, so this method is really a broad estimation of cell number. More sophisticated cytometers register each particle (single cell or cluster) as a single event, therefore cannot discriminate single cells.
The Luna-FL™ automated cell counter from Logos Biosystems is a quantum leap for automated cell counting and cell viability analysis.
The Luna-FL™ automated cell counter gives you the sensitive and accurate live/dead cell counting results without limitation of sample types. Take a look on the downloads tab for application notes on GFP Expression Analysis and Fast Cell Counting & Viability Measurement of Yeast.
