Gold coated microscope slides and coverslips
Nano-Tec gold coated microscope slides and coverslips are designed for microscopy, AFM / SPM, nanotechnology and biotechnology applications. They can also be used as opaque light microscopy supports or gold coated substrates in a range of experiments. The Borofloat 33 microscope slides and coverslips are pre-cleaned before coating and coated with gold over an adhesion layer of chromium. Both chromium and gold are deposited using a dedicated high vacuum deposition system fitted with electron beam evaporation (EB) sources. The standard gold coating has a thickness of 50nm, additionally available coating thicknesses are: 10nm, 100nm and 500nm gold. The gold coating is not atomically flat and there are height differences in the nanometre range.
Nano-Tec gold coated microscope slides and coverslips are autoclavable.
