EM-Tec CV2 large centering vice SEM sample holders
EM-Tec CV2 large centering vice SEM sample holders offer a unique advantage by keeping the clamped samples always in the centre of the holder. Both vice clamp jaws simultaneously move away or to the centre of the holder at the same time.
EM-Tec CV2 large centering vice SEM sample holders:

- Re-positionable vice jaws on the base plate for optimum sample compatibility
- Standard stage clamps from 0 to 114mm
- Awkwardly shaped samples clamped by pin from 0 to 50 mm
- Spindle extension can be removed to reduce overall size
- Optional extension base plates allows clamping from 0 to 159mm
- Standard vice jaws with triple grooved side and smooth side
- Optional vice jaw with single 120° groove for round samples
EM-Tec CV2 centering vice can be configured in 4 different modes:
- Standard mode with base plates and vice jaws – clamping capacity 0 – 114 mm
- Low profile mode without base plates and pins for awkwardly shaped SEM samples – clamping capacity 0-50mm
- Low profile mode without base plates and vice jaws mounted on vice guides – clamping capacity 8 – 54mm
- Added extension plates (optional) – clamping capacity 0 – 159 mm

EM-Tec CV2 large centering vice clamp includes two base plates on which the vice jaws can be re-positioned for optimum sample compatibility. The brass, dual vice spindle is located underneath the baseplates with knurled knobs at both sides, allowing the spindle to be operated from either side. One side includes a removable spindle extension to provide better grip when opening the centering vice. Made from vacuum grade aluminium and stainless steel guiding rods to provide dry lubrication. The vice jaws are mounted on the base with brass mounting screws. The baseplates can be removed to place samples directly between the moving vice guides using the provided stainless steel pins ,or by mounting the vice jaws directly on the vice slides (low profile mode).
EM-Tec CV2 centering vice is a heavy duty sample holder intended for use on SEMs with large chambers and stages with a stage travel distances of 80mm or more. With a spindle travel of 46mm and re-positionable vice jaws the standard clamping ranges are 0-46mm, 34-82mm and 68-114mm. With the optional extension plate the additional clamping ranges are 102-144mm and 113-159.
